Product Description
Phoenix is the ski invention of the year 2016 – an absolute carver for piste and hard off-piste conditions
The skier initiates a carved turn the same way he is used to with his conventional ski – he puts his ski on edge. But the further execution of the turn is amazing: it`s like running in a circular rail, without slipping.
Unlike older RaxSki models the “Phoenix” got short lateral fins which are bent like radical parabolic ski edge. They are integrated in a bracket being an eloxated aluminium casting.
The total weight of the skier acts directly upon one of these 12cm long fins, such cutting a deeper groove in snow surface than the sharpest ski edge could do.
This is how the principle of today`s “Carving Ski” was applied on RaxSkis.
“Phoenix” comes from two ski factories applying different technologies. Phoenix with design “Pretty Woman” has a wood core whereas design “Black” has special PolyFly composite injected in a tight form. Both designs are laminated by the “CAP” technology.
Length: 102 cm, width: Design “Black” 108/67/107mm Design “Pretty Woman” 120/62/107mm
